After a series of conversations regarding the lake with myself and other members, Chris made the journey down to the lake for the first time. He opted for peg 16 which had produced a 29lb mirror to Alan Smith in late February.
Chris worked the swim with alternate approaches, targeting various layers of water and was rewarded with a mirror at 47lb backed by another mirror of 31lb, both taken during the night. After looking back through previous captures, I can confirm that the fish landed by Chris Lithgow at 47lb is the same fish landed by Steve Turner at 44lb 8oz on 22nd August 2014 and is not the fish known as “scar” but another fish heading towards the 50lb mark.
