After having a chat with Darren, I set about doing a lap to make sure things were in order and not long after getting back in the car park we spotted him running towards us. At first we thought something was wrong given his pace and the crazy look on his face. It soon became clear he was buzzing!!!…..

I turned up Sunday evening and after doing a circuit of the lake, I happened to spot one jump in peg 2, so I dropped in there as I had seen nothing else show. Looking at the map, it appeared that the fish had shown itself at the bottom of the bar in 5-6ft of water so I placed all 3 rods along the area. At 2pm on the Sunday I caught a nice 17lb 8oz mirror so I knew I was in the right location. On the Next day at almost the same time I had a fast take from the same area and after a really hard fight landed my new PB Mirror of 43lb. I had another 18lb mirror at midnight in probably the worst conditions I have ever fished in! All in all a cracking session when the conditions looked totally against us..

Great effort in such conditions
