Tim arrived on monday and we set about a lap of the lake. We headed onto the islands to check for any line and to assess the growth of the pads. Given the weather conditions, i was surprised we hadn’t spotted a fish whilst doing so. After what we had seen, he decided upon peg 11 instead and left Dave Armstrong (Armo) to take peg 10 whilst “snoz” opted for 12. After just half an hour, Armo had banked two fish; a 22lb mirror and a 35lb 8oz mirror. He also landed another two stockies and unfortunately
pulled out of another lump. After vacating the swim early at midday, Tim moved from 11 to 10 and followed Armo’s footsteps, landing a mirror at 27lb 6oz and unfortunately losing one. Tim didn’t disappoint……
On his last night he moved into 10 and got the traps set. ” well positioned zigs on the edge of the emerging pads resulted in him landing a new pb at 33lb 6oz.
I popped down early doors to take the shots and his smile says it all.
