It has been a busy fortnight of recent and it is time to get back on track with things, starting with Lewis North….
Me and my good mate Vin set out on willows for a session. After arriving at the lake mid day on Sunday they wasn’t many options to go for, we both set out in the middle of the lake hoping to see a few signs. Unfortunately I bumped off a stocky at tea time. The next morning came with nothing to show for it and very little signs of fish, so we decided to make another move into 3 and 1 after seeing a few fish. I was in 3 and 3 choddys were placed out were I had seen the fish showing whilst setting up. My my middle rod tightened up and unfortunately, I lost that fish in the weed close in but sometimes it can’t be helped.
At least now I knew I was in the right area!
The next few days slowed down as the weather didn’t help with hailstone, rain, sun and a cold wind but the last few days was forecast to be warm and a warm westerly pushing in. I moved down in to peg 2 as it looked good with the warm wind and seeing a few stockies showing thereselfs on the bar . One on zig at short distance and two on the bar on the showing fish. Nothing happened then tommo and broomdog popped down to rob some sausages what we’re on the cook. All of a sudden the middle alarm uttered few bleeps and the rod signaled I was in. After a nervous fight, a new PB in the net!

Shame about the burnt sausages though ! Tough session as they was proving hard to catch from mixed weather but the moves paid off!
